加州消防當局和林業部門指出，儘管出動400名人員、70輛發動機、2輛推土機滅火，且在條件允許的狀況下，從加州各地調派許多空中消防機執行滅火任務，但因為能見度有限，當局對於火災的控制率僅達2%。
