日本沖繩受到鋒面影響、導致大氣狀況極不穩定，氣象單位預計將有約110毫米的雨量出現、同時發布「破紀錄的暴雨警報」，除了呼籲民眾注意安全，也敦促須對山崩特別留意，另外也對那霸市超過31萬名居民發布疏散令，隨著巨大雨勢出現，社群平台上也開始出現許多當地淹水的畫面，其中包含民眾在淹及小腿的水中推著汽車、引發討論。
